Schlegel (Köditz)

Schlegel is a part of the municipality of Köditz in the Upper Franconian district of Hof .

In Schlegel there is a former castle estate , which is also an outbuilding of the castle in Brandstein . As a fiefdom of the Weida bailiffs , it was first mentioned in documents in 1335 owned by the von Weißelsdorf family . Later it was owned by the von Dobenck , Kotzau and Waldenfels families .

On May 1, 1978, the previously independent municipality was incorporated into the municipality of Köditz.
