Culture and sights
- At Saalenstein there are traces of a castle stable with a double moat and a tower hill. Remnants of the castle stables wall are used as part of a restaurant.
- The high arches of the listed A72 motorway bridge span the Saale valley near Saalenstein. Winter opportunities for bats and nesting sites for kestrels have been integrated into the structure. However, the loud noise from the motorway bridge disturbs the romance of the Saalaue, praised by Jean Paul .
- Jean-Paul-Weg along the bank of the Saale.
