The building at Schloßstraße 8 in Braunfels , a town in the Lahn-Dill district in Hesse , was built in the 17th century. The half-timbered house is a protected architectural monument .

The house is built directly onto the bell tower. A high, three-story half-timbered building rises above an older vaulted cellar , the entrance of which is on the eastern side of the eaves . The half-timbered house is adorned with man figures and a carved corner stand . The second floor may have been added later.
