Castle A Pro
The A Pro Castle is a moated castle and is in the community Seedorf in the Swiss canton of Uri .
It was built in the 16th century by Jakob and Peter a Pro. The canton of Uri acquired the castle in 1959 from the Aproschen Familienfideikommiss . It serves the Uri government as a home for representative meetings and assemblies. In the former economic building, the Schlösschen has housed the Uri Mineral Museum since 1981. Since 2009 there has been a castle restaurant with a sophisticated ambience.
The castle is a cultural asset of national importance .
