history

The tower is first mentioned in 1369. The first known owner was Freiherr Johann von Attinghausen . After his death around 1359, the castle came to the Knights of Rudenz from the Haslital by marriage around 1360 . In 1382, Johann von Rudenz, the last representative of von Rudenz, died.

construction

The tower from the 13th century has been rebuilt several times. Today's appearance mainly dates from the 17th century. The castle courtyard was greatly reduced in size, the trenches were filled and the curtain wall with corner towers was torn down except for small remains.
