history
Today's Bündorf Palace was built by Ludwig Adolph Freiherr von Zech in 1764 by Johann Samuel Löhnitz from Merseburg . It was created in the north-western area of the Schkopau heap , an artificial hill on which an early medieval moated castle in the Renaissance style was located in the Laucha swamp . Research has shown that there was a fortified weir system on the same site before the turn of the millennium. The palace remained in the possession of the Graf von Zech-Burkersroda family until the land reform in the Soviet occupation zone in 1945 . From 1950 to 1996 the castle was used as a retirement home. The entire palace complex was privatized in 1998 and restoration work began. This has already been completed for the outbuildings.
description

The main portal is decorated with a coat of arms relief under a tail gable, with ornamental crowned windows above. At the rear of the building there is a deep three-axis central projection.
