Dommerville Castle

The Dommerville Castle in Dommerville , a district of the French community Angerville in the department of Essonne in the region Ile-de-France , was built from 1777 to 1782. The castle has been on the list of historical monuments in France since 1977 as a monument historique .

history

The client, the Marquis de Hallot, had the previous building demolished, of which only an iron gate on the Route de Chartres testifies.

The three-wing complex with a courtyard was used as a farm from 1869 and extensively renovated after the change of ownership in 1963. The interior of the two-storey building has original furnishings such as a faience oven and a cast-iron banister.

In the park there is a small hexagonal pavilion from the 18th century that was used for partridge hunting .
