from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The former manor and later Gunsleben Castle is located in the Saxon-Anhalt community of Am Großen Bruch , district of Börde , between Hamersleben and Aderstedt near the border with Lower Saxony. Gunsleben was first mentioned in 1112 as a branch of the Hamersleben monastery . From 1453 to 1945 it was owned by the von der Asseburg family .

The baroque manor house from 1754 and probably also the inspector's house , built a short time later in 1768, were built by Christoph Werner von der Asseburg. The Wilhelminian style mansion from 1891 was built by Count Maximilian Asche von der Asseburg and has two corner towers and an artfully designed wooden veranda. A small, 160 year old park belongs to the castle .

The castle is privately owned.
