The Castle Hainrode stands in the hallway of the city Bleicherode in the district of Nordhausen in Thuringia .

history

The name Wöbelsburg for the castle has its justified reason, because it is located on the northern roofing of the Hainleite at the transition to the Wipperaue as the rampart on the mountain spur above Hainrode, which is called Wöbelsburg.

The Gutsschloss is as a result of investment of these former Wallburg viewed. The beginnings of the Wöbelsburg are probably in the 12th century. At first there was probably only a manor house with smaller farm buildings. It was just a preliminary work . Later, after 1531, the family estate in Hainrode was owned by the lords of Bila . With these owners, the Vorwerk became a manor . The castle-like buildings were not erected until the 18th century.

In 1945 the Lords of Bila were also subject to the laws of expropriation . However, the castle was taken over as public property and was a children's home until 1997. The castle consists of three buildings with an adjoining park , meadows and forest.

Today a family from Holland runs the castle as a country hotel .
