Hauerz Castle

The Hauerz Castle , formerly also called Haus zum Huwartz , is an abandoned castle-like castle in Hauerz (Burgweg 11), a current district of the city of Bad Wurzach in the Ravensburg district in Baden-Württemberg .

For the first time the "House for Huwartz" was in the 1481 Kirchherr mentioned issued Pastor Johannes Simon certificate. It was certified that he had built the house and two ponds for lifelong use with the permission of Mr. Jörgen Truchsessen von Waldburg . After his death, everything should fall back to the Waldburg family . The castle surrounded by a moat was later referred to as the "castle", 1662 as "Schlößlein" and in 1663 "Schlößchen". In 1797 the remaining ruins were torn down and the princely forester's house was later built at the castle site.
