Herrnstadt Castle
Herrnstadt Castle ( Polish: Pałacu Wąsosz ) is a castle in the Polish city of Wąsosz in the Lower Silesian Voivodeship .
history
The existence of the castle, a city castle , is documented for 1292, but it certainly existed before the city was founded. In 1432 the castle was besieged during the Hussite Wars . Around 1520 the castle belonged to the diocese of Breslau and later to the duchy of Liegnitz .
The current building stock dates partly from the Renaissance period , partly from the Baroque . The right wing of the chapel was destroyed in a Russian bombardment in 1759 .
