In the local register of monuments , the castle is listed as an architectural monument under registration number 094 16027 .

history

In 1381 there were several feudal farms in Klein Oschersleben owned by the Halberstadt diocese . The former manor was given in 1489 to the court marshal Hans von Kotze as a fiefdom. The fire of 1562 destroyed Klein Oschersleben and the manor. Hans von Kotzes descendants remained in possession of the property for almost 400 years.

A sugar factory was built on the grounds of the manor in 1863 . It was soon closed because another sugar factory had been built in the immediate vicinity of the train station, which produced until 1991.

On the foundation of the previous building, the building was rebuilt as a castle towards the end of the 19th century. During the GDR era , the building was used as a school and day nursery, and apartments were set up. Today (as of 2015) the building is privately owned.
