Liebenstein Castle (Arnreit)
The Liebenstein Castle was in the municipality Arnreit in Rohrbach District of Upper Austria .
The castle is said to have been built by Hardneid von Losenstein around 1450 . Then it came to the Lords of Starhemberg .
According to an engraving by Georg Matthäus Vischer from 1674, the castle was a three-storey building with a rectangular floor plan and hipped roof. Next to it was the Meierhof , which was connected to the castle by a palisade fence. The castle is said to have stood next to the Mair farmhouse and the chapel there ("castle meadow"). Nothing is left of the castle, the location is also uncertain.
