Mallmitz Castle

Mallmitz Castle ( Polish : Pałac w Małomicach ) was located in Małomice , Lower Silesian Voivodeship .

A moated castle has existed here since the Middle Ages . At the end of the 17th century, this was expanded into a castle , which had the shape of a closed square around an inner courtyard. The octagonal Lady Chapel of the palace was rebuilt in the baroque style in 1737 and was the crypt chapel of the Barons of Kittlitz . In the 19th century the castle was owned by the counts of the Dohna family . After the Polish takeover of the region in 1945, the castle was demolished.
