Mihowa Castle

Mihowa Castle was located in the crown land of Bukovina near the village of Mihowa , near Berhometh . The castle was destroyed by the Russian army in 1917 during the First World War .

history

The castle was built in the 19th century, probably on behalf of the Jordaki Freiherr Wassilko von Serecki . It belonged to the Fideikommiss possession of the Wassilko von Serecki family . Katharina, née von Flondor , lived in the building after the death of her husband Alexander in 1893. He bequeathed it to her as a residence in her will.

During the First World War, the castle was destroyed in August 1917 by the retreating Russian army.
