Myhowe ( Ukrainian Мигове ; Russian Мигово Migowo , Romanian Mihova , German until 1918 Mihowa ) is a village in the historical region of Bukovina in the Ukrainian Oblast of Chernivtsi with about 3700 inhabitants (2004).
The tourist and winter sports resort is located in the Forest Carpathians at 505 m altitude on the banks of the Myhiwka ( Мигівка ), a 21 km long tributary of the Sereth and on the T-26-24 territorial road . Myhowe is located about 10 km south of Berehomet , about 30 km southeast of the Vyshnytsia district center and about 55 km southwest of the Chernivtsi oblast center . The Mihowa Castle , which was destroyed in 1917, was located in the village .
Myhowe is the administrative center of the district council of the same name in the east of Vyshnytsia district , to which the village Velyke ( Велике ⊙ ) with about 630 inhabitants also belongs.
