The Niedernondorf Castle is a Renaissance - castle in the same cadastral Niedernondorf in Waldhausen (Lower Austria) .

history

The town of Niedernondorf was first mentioned in a document in 1292, but the castle itself was not mentioned until the end of the 15th century. During the Thirty Years' War the palace was burned down by imperial troops in 1622, but was soon rebuilt and refurbished. In 1655 it is described in the valid book as a one-storey building with a gate tower , as Vischer shows on his topography around 1672. The castle has been owned by the Thurn-Valsassina family since 1872 .
