history
On March 12, 1696, the secret secretary and later governor Johann Sebald Neusönner acquired the original property including the adjacent agricultural land. The construction of the palace began in 1697, after the elector Max Emmanuel of Bavaria granted the electoral privilege of being a private aristocratic seat on January 17, 1697 . Perlachsoed Castle is also called Neusönner Castle (or Schlösschen / Schlössl) after its builder. The castle is privately owned and cannot be visited.
buildings
Perlachsoed originally extended over two floors. Elaborate wall paintings and stucco decorations of the former bel étage are still preserved on the first floor . In 1727 Perlachsoed was expanded. The castle courtyard was surrounded by stables and farm buildings, of which only one servants' house still exists today. The castle was extensively renovated in 2008/09.
