Pohlwitz Castle ( Polish Pałac w Pawłowicach Wielkich ) is a castle in today's Polish Pawłowice Wielkie , Powiat Jaworski ( Jauer District ), Lower Silesian Voivodeship

Pohlwitz Castle is one of the best preserved Renaissance buildings in Silesia . The building is a simple rectangular building, with an additional gable attached over the middle of the southern long side , which has the same dimensions and shapes as the gables of the front sides. Of the eight axes on the south side, the three on the right belong to a three-storey component, while the middle and left parts of the building are only two-storey. Presumably the left part was intended for economic purposes, the right part for residential purposes, which is proven by the fact that there are two secret rooms on the eastern front side. There are also transverse extensions on the north side of the building.

The portal is decorated with pilasters and gussets . The windows are richly framed using the Carnies motif, sills and roofs. The gables are divided horizontally and staggered. The bevel is formed by broken, curly and C-shaped volutes . On the east gable is a master shield with the year 1586, next to it the initials MM. The west gable is dated 1584.

In 1937 the gables were renovated. The castle survived the war unscathed and has been in the new Poland ever since, but is in poor condition today.
