Daniel Moncada

Daniel Moncada (born May 17, 1980 in Honduras ) is a Honduran actor and stuntman . He and his brother, Luis Moncada , gained notoriety mainly through the roles of the Salamanca twins, Leonel and Marco, from the Breaking Bad series .

life and career

Daniel Moncada was born in the Central American country Honduras and grew up with his older brother, Luis, in their single mother in the district of Echo Park in Los Angeles , into the United States. After his brother was a member of a gang and was serving a prison sentence, the brothers moved to Studio City . Moncada trains various martial arts, including boxing, kickboxing and jiu-jitsu, and teaches boxing in the Pacoima district .

In 2010 he took on his first role in front of the camera as Leonel Salamanca in the third season of the series Breaking Bad with the role of a cartel hit man. His brother Luis played his twin Marco in the series . Since 2016, they have also been in front of the camera in their roles for the spin-off Better Call Saul . After Breaking Bad , Moncada appeared in guest roles on Law & Order: LA , Sons of Anarchy , Southland , Chosen , Brooklyn Nine-Nine , Justified , Graceland, and Scorpion . In 2014 he played a small role in the action film Sabotage . In the 2015 sports drama City of McFarland , he starred as Eddie in a small role. In 2016 he appeared as Choop in the thriller Blood Father . After appearances in Lethal Weapon , Fear the Walking Dead , The Night Shift and SWAT , Moncada appeared in Clint Eastwood's The Mule as Eduardo in 2018 .

He does his stunts in front of the camera and is occasionally hired as a stuntman.
