Trollenäs Castle
The Trollenäs Castle is located in the Swedish municipality of Eslöv .
The estate, known since the 14th century, was initially only called Näs , due to its location between two streams. In 1559 , Tage Ottesen Thott had today's castle built. This came into the possession of the noble family Trolle in 1682 , which also led to the name change. At the end of the 19th century, the building was converted into a French-style Renaissance palace by the Danish architect Ferdinand Meldahl . The castle is still owned by the Trolle family and is managed by Trollenäs Gods AB. The publicly accessible building offers opportunities for tours, conferences, weddings and hospitality. There is a café in the adjacent park.
The castle consists of a main building on three floors and two wings on two floors. A rectangular tower adjoins the west side of the main building. From the veranda a wide staircase leads down to the garden.
