Wenckheim Castle (Békéscsaba)
Wenckheim Castle ( Hungarian Wenckheim-kastély ) is located in the Gerla district of Békéscsaba in Békés County , southern Hungary.
history
Count Karl Wenckheim commissioned the important architect Miklós Ybl to build the palace. It was built in the 1860s.
The castle is currently (2015) in a desolate condition, as the owners could not bear the maintenance costs.
