The Zwiefaltendorf Castle is a castle in Riedlinger district Zwiefaltendorf the influx of Zwiefalter Aach into the Danube in the district of Biberach in Baden-Württemberg .

history

The history of Zwiefaltendorf Castle goes back to the 11th century, when the Zwiefaltendorf moated castle existed here . Duke Ulrich von Württemberg had this castle and the whole town of Zwiefaltendorf burned down in 1517.

Today's Zwiefaltendorf Castle is mentioned in a document around 1660. From 1441 the complex was owned by the Speth families and from 1878 it belonged to the Barons von und zu Bodman . From 1982 to 1985 the two-story building with the corner core with pointed helmet roofs was renovated. Since 1999 it has belonged to the Junge and Seiz families from Metzingen. Today the castle is used for meetings, presentations and other individual events.
