The Man of Sorrows (also: Ecce homo ) is a statue from 1673 on Brünner Strasse (vis-a-vis Brünner Strasse 315) in Stammersdorf in the 21st Viennese district of Floridsdorf . The property is under monument protection .

description

The Man of Sorrows is a stone statue with the Man of Sorrows . An ornamented square pillar with inscription cartouches stands above a square base above a weak surrounding cornice . On it stands the Christ statue with a crown of thorns and hands tied.

The following inscription can be read in the tabernacle: " Anno / 1673 "; " O man / Gedenckh / my "; " Made for the honor / of God "; " Franz Hieß / In Vienna ".
