Schneppenbaum is a part of the municipality Bedburg-Hau in the Kleve district . 2887 people live in Schneppenbaum (as of December 31, 2016). The name Schneppenbaum is derived from the farmer Derik Sneppe, who lived in the 15th century on a turnpike that Count Adolf II had built at important crossroads.

Schneppenbaum's coat of arms shows four red snipes perched on a white tree. The place was incorporated on July 1, 1969 into the newly formed community Bedburg-Hau.

The parish church of St. Markus and the town hall of the Bedburg-Hau community are in Schneppenbaum . The LVR Clinic Bedburg-Hau is located in the south-west . In addition, the secondary school in Kleve (sub-location Bedburg-Hau) and the community elementary school St. Markus are located in Schneppenbaum.
