Huisberden is a part of the municipality Bedburg-Hau in the Kleve district .
Huisberden is first mentioned in 1265 and was owned by the French monastery of Corbie in the Middle Ages . In 1395 Huisberden was sold to the Counts of Kleve . The parish church of St. Peter is mentioned for the first time in 1307, but dates back to the 11th century. The Eyl moated castle stood near Huisberden, and the remains of the outer castle and the moat system have been preserved. Huisberden belonged to the Kleverhamm office .
On July 1, 1969, Huisberden was incorporated into the new municipality of Bedburg-Hau.
