Inclined path

The inclined runway is a kind of carousel ( fairground ride ) in which carriages connected to one another drive in a circle on an inclined plane.

The inclined railway is the forerunner of the Musik Express and the Walzerbahn . They were built by the Mack Rides company from Waldkirch in the early 1960s. In contrast to the further developments mentioned, it only has an inclined plane without any elevation.

However, like the successors, the drive is already carried out centrally or with drive motors on individual booms. The chaise rides on a rail that increases in height in the depth of the shop.

The shop has a diameter of about 16 meters. The number of chaises is 20. Two adults or three children can be transported in each gondola.

Overall, the shop has a connected load of approx. 40  kW , but this can vary depending on the lighting.

The speed is around 16 revolutions per minute.
