Walzerbahn

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
An English waltz train

The Waltzer or waltz ride is a classic, no longer built in Germany Ride , a variation of the roller coaster . The gondolas, which are eccentrically attached to the arms of a multi-part turntable, for two or up to four people, rotate around their own axis while moving over various elevations.

Most systems of this type are built from a combination of wood and steel. Most of the few waltz railways that still travel in Germany were built in the 1970s. Especially the German manufacturer Mack Rides from Waldkirch and the Zierer company built the waltz rides . These rides are even rarer to be found in German amusement parks . In addition to the Tripsdrill adventure park , the Panorama Park operated such a facility until 2007.

In America, waltz tracks are very common and can usually be found at carnivals , the American fairs. In England, too, there are around 150 waltz rides on the trip and often on the amusement piers of the coastal baths. English they are called waltzes .

The following waltz tours are currently traveling in Germany:

  • Holiday Star (Exner)
  • Rendezvous (Hermesmeyer)
