Abdul-Baha shrine
The Shrine of Abdul-Bahas is a separate area in the Shrine of Bab in the Israeli port city of Haifa , in which the remains of Abdul-Baha, a Persian scribe and eldest son of the founder of the religion Baha'u'llah , are kept. His body is kept in the first of nine rooms on the north side of the famous sacred building on Mount Carmel . Baha'i can pray there as part of their pilgrimage . For this purpose there is also a special visiting prayer, a copy of which is in English and Persian in the room. The construction of a separate sacred building for the tomb of Abdul-Baha is planned for the future in order to cope with the steadily increasing number of pilgrims and visitors.
On May 7, 2019, the House of Justice announced that Hossein Amanat had been entrusted with the planning of the Abdul-Baha shrine. On September 19, 2019, the design for the shrine was presented by the House of Justice.
