School on Nürnberger Strasse
The building of the former school on Nürnberger Straße is located in Bremen , Findorff district, Regensburger Straße district , Nürnberger Straße 34 / Freisinger Straße. The building was constructed in 1912 according to plans by building officer Wilhelm Knop . The building has been a listed building in Bremen since 1984 .
history
The three-storey, U-shaped, clinkered, former elementary school with a hipped roof, the distinctive turret , an additional basement, two lateral four-storey projections and 18 classrooms was built in 1911/12 at the turn of the century. Later, two extensions with gable roofs were added on Freisinger Strasse.
In 1922 the elementary school became an all-boys school and in 1933 an experimental school .
After 1945 it became a primary and secondary school.
Today (2018) the building belongs to the Findorff secondary school , together with the school buildings on Gothaer Straße and Regensburger Straße .
