history

The Findorff district in what was then the Utbremer Vorstadt had only 2500 inhabitants in 1875. The quarter at that time experienced a very strong development from 1907 and had around 10,000 inhabitants in 1912 and 25,000 in 1925. Four new schools had to be built quickly by 1914, of which three buildings still exist; the school on Herbststrasse was destroyed in the Second World War.

Today's Findorff High School is housed in the three preserved and expanded school buildings:

  • School on Gothaer Strasse ; the school history see there,
  • School on Nürnberger Strasse ; the school history see there,
  • School on Regensburger Straße: This three-storey elementary school with hipped roofs and the striking roof turret with the clock was inaugurated in 1912. It had 19 classes with 1,000 students and in 1915 even 25 to 28 classes with 1,200 to 1,400 students. It was constantly expanded to include an inner courtyard. In 1920 the number of classes and students decreased. In 1922, the upscale branch of the girls' school was also housed at the site. After 1945 it was a secondary and secondary school. In 1954 she received the Gerdshütte country school home in Bürstel . Since that time, the school on Gothaer Strasse, which is located in the same playground, has belonged to the school on Regensburger Strasse. In 2000, a five-storey white new building was built according to plans by Horst Rosengart .

Findorff High School

In 1992, the three locations were combined to form a school center for secondary level I with the departments of secondary and secondary schools, orientation level and grammar school.

The school system then consists of the levels of elementary school and secondary schools (mostly up to grade 10 or 13) and grammar schools (up to grade 12).

In the all-day school (since 2008) around 1150 pupils were taught by 110 teachers in 2018. It has its own upper level and grammar school upper level, in which all degrees can be achieved, u. a. also the Abitur after eight and nine years. She has had experience with cooperation and integration classes for 20 years.
The school management and administration is located in Gothaer Straße 60.
