School of Military Strategists

The school of military strategists ( Chinese  兵家 , Pinyin bīngjiā ), also military school u. a., was a school of ancient Chinese philosophy active in the spring and autumn periods up to the early Western Han Dynasty . She was mainly engaged in military activities and the study of military principles and theories. The representatives of the school include Sun Wu (Sun Tzu), Sima Rangju from the Spring and Autumn Period, Sun Bin , Wu Qi , Wei Liao and Bai Qi of the Warring States Period , and Zhang Liang and Han Xin from the early Western Han -Dynasty.

Her main works include Sunzi's Art of War ( Sunzi bingfa 孫子兵法), Wuzi ( Wuzi吳 子) and Sun Bin on the art of war ( Sun Bin bingfa孙 膑 兵法).

In the category of masters and philosophers ( zibu子部), the third of the four traditional categories ( sibu 四部 ) into which Chinese literature has been divided, this school in Siku quanshu (四庫 全書) comes second (just after Confucian) School).
