Khacharod , also Khachrod , is a city in the Indian state of Madhya Pradesh . Khachrod is located in the west of the state near the border with Rajasthan .
The city is part of the Ujjain District . Khacharod has the status of a Municipal Council . The city is divided into 21 wards . On the cut-off date of the 2011 census it had 34,191 inhabitants, of which 17,351 were men and 16,840 women. Hindus make up the majority of the city's population with a share of over 64%. The literacy rate in 2011 was 79.10%.
