School of Fine Arts and Design

The School of Fine Arts and Design was founded in Kassel in 2003 and moved to the Berlin Kulturbrauerei in Prenzlauer Berg in summer 2009 . Since spring 2011 the school has been in the larger rooms at Immanuelkirchstr. 4, Berlin, Prenzlauer Berg. Around 100 pupils attend training courses and courses here every week. 36 students completed their training at the school in Berlin with a thesis and an exhibition.

During the time in Kassel, around 400 men and women, children and young people took courses or completed a degree. In Berlin there are around 120 students a year. The school is conceived as a vocational school for drawing, painting and illustration and sees itself as the successor to the vocational schools or craft art schools for painting that trained artists and artists in Germany in the first half of the 20th century . The school trains young people in the field of fine arts . The school is a supplementary school according to § 102 SchulG Berlin and is entered in the school directory of Berlin schools. The school has been recognized for student BAföG since summer 2010. Since March 2014, the school has continued as the School of Fine Arts and Design, Andrei Krioukov GmbH.

Tutorial

At school, you can take compact and intensive courses in drawing , painting , portfolio preparation and digital art. The students can also take a complete three-year school education in free painting, set and costume design, illustration , comic and cartoon characters as well as digital and concept art . In addition, the school offers further education and training as well as retraining in artistic professions for lateral entrants and loan artists. Summer, Easter and winter academies are also held in the Kulturbrauerei Berlin during the holidays. The entire school program is oriented towards vocational training and opens up opportunities for professional artists and young professionals to train and continue their education.

Lecturers

Lecturers who are visual artists and art scholars themselves, who work as independent artists and are involved in art projects and exhibitions, teach at the school. Lecturers in drawing, painting and illustration: Andrei Krioukov and Malte Olbertz , lecturer in color theory, materials science and composition: Simone Haack, lecturer in art history: Boris Friedewald and others. Since winter semester 2010 Prof. Wulff Seiler has been teaching anatomy and human representation at the school. The school also regularly organizes workshops under the direction of renowned German and international artists and others. a. Dmitri Vrubel as well as lectures and panel discussions with artists, art historians and gallery owners.
