Dmitri Wladimirowitsch Wrubel ( Russian Дмитрий Владимирович Врубель ; born July 14, 1960 in Moscow ) is a contemporary Russian painter and member of the Pirate Party Germany .

Life

Wrubel lives with his wife Victoria Timofejewa, who also works as an artist (Historienpanorama 2007) in Berlin. With his picture Mein Gott, help me to survive this deadly love on the Berlin Wall (spring 1990), the " brotherly kiss " between Leonid Iljitsch Brezhnev and Erich Honecker , he became known worldwide. In the course of the renovation of the East Side Gallery in 2009, the picture was removed and repainted by him. He also painted Putin in judo suit and Putin with piercing or as a pop star. In 2012 Wrubel joined the Pirate Party in Berlin and founded the project squad Art 3.0 within the party .
