The VS school museum of VS Vereinigte Spezialmöbelfabriken is a school museum in Tauberbischofsheim in the Main-Tauber district in Baden-Württemberg .

The VS school museum is located at Hochhäuser Straße 8 in Tauberbischofsheim in a large glass building belonging to VS Vereinigte Spezialmöbefabriken. The company's own canteen and the furniture manufacturer's production facilities are in the immediate vicinity.

VS United has been producing special furniture factories in Tauberbischofsheim since the end of the 19th century.

VS school museum

In 1998, on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the foundation, a school museum with the permanent exhibition “The classroom. School furniture from the end of the 19th century to the present day ”.

With its permanent exhibition, the school museum documents the history and development of national and international school architecture and school furniture from the beginning of the 20th century to the present day. The exhibition is not limited to products from the United Special Furniture Factories based in Tauberbischofsheim, but also focuses on various school furniture exhibits from home and abroad. The exhibits include a comprehensive collection of historical school furniture and school furnishings.

In addition, the exhibition also presents educational , ergonomic and cultural-historical aspects of school furniture history as well as a show of groundbreaking, innovative school architecture from the 20th and 21st centuries from all over the world.
