The black-fin armored catfish ( Corydoras leucomelas ) belongs to the genus of armored catfish ( Corydoras ) in the family of armored catfish (Callichthyidae). In English it is called false spotted catfish .
description
A small, high-backed Corydoras with a short body ( standard length up to 4.5 cm) with a silvery-gray basic color, a black band from the neck to the eyes and dark spots spread over the body and caudal fin. The dorsal fin is black. The first rays of the dorsal fin and the back below the first part of the dorsal fin base bear a black spot. The caudal fin has six narrow bands, the anal fin has a band in the middle. The females are larger and fuller, the pectoral fins of the males drawn out pointed.

distribution
The natural range of Corydoras leucomelas is in the upper, Colombian and Peruvian part of the Amazon basin .
