Schwarzmannshofen is a district of the municipality of Bad Blumau in East Styria with 90 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2020).

The place is north of the Rogner Therme Bad Blumau . Behind the hill of the current village was the Steinbacher castle, but it was already deserted at the end of the 12th / beginning of the 13th century. Originally the small village was called Schwarzmeierhof and in 1170 it was the meierhof of Steinbach Castle. Some names are still reminiscent of that time. The forest behind the village is still called Burgstall today and elsewhere is called the Kellergraben, just like the stream through the village is called the Steinbachgraben. The cross bar in the center of the village with the village cross and the three chestnut trees was erected in 1908. (The chestnut trees were removed in 2011.) In 1987 and 2007, the wayside shrine was renovated by the village community, which was celebrated with a big party. Until the turn of the millennium, agriculture predominated. In 1968 the nearby river, the Safen, was regulated; In 1997, state road 401 was moved to the outskirts.

With the opening of the nearby Rogner Therme Bad Blumau, designed by Friedensreich Hundertwasser in 1997, tourism developed rapidly. In relation to the number of inhabitants, Schwarzmannshofen has the most guest beds in the community.
