Before 1740, the Lafnitz , which formed the border between Styria and Hungary , was directed by Count Batthyány in the area of Rohrbrunn Castle into the river bed of the Lobenbach. As a result, numerous pieces of land owned by the Bierbaum farmers, which Count Batthyány wanted to appropriate, were on the Hungarian side of the Lafnitz. Between 1741 and 1745 Graf Batthyány took the farmers so that around 200  yoke plots from.
