Schweinbach is a district of the municipality of Wildenberg in the Lower Bavarian district of Kelheim . It formed an independent municipality until 1946.

Schweinbach is located in the Hallertau on the B 299 about two kilometers southwest of Wildenberg.

history

Sveinpah was first mentioned in 773 . The Hofmark Schweinbach was part of the Wildenberg rule . From 1818 to 1946 Schweinbach and Eschenhart formed an independent community. It belonged to the district office and later to the district of Rottenburg an der Laaber . In 1945/1946 it was incorporated into the community of Wildenberg.

Attractions

  • Local chapel. The neo-Romanesque, flat-roofed building with flat-roofed pillared porch was built in 1840 and expanded in 1934. The altar dates from the first half of the 18th century.
