Swiss pearl of honor culture

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Schweizer Ehrenperle Kultur is a sporadic honor given to cultural mediators by the Swiss cultural television ARTTV since 2005.

A special feature of the award winners is that they achieve a great impact in public with little financial means for their institution or cultural branch.

Previous winners

  • 2008 Sabine Schaschl : The fourth pearl of honor went to Sabine Schaschl, then director of Kunsthaus Baselland , now director of Haus Konstruktiv in Zurich. Schaschl belongs to numerous juries and commissions in Switzerland and abroad. In addition to the Pearl of Honor, she received several awards for her curatorial work, including the Landis & Gyr Award, London in 2013, the Chevalier de l'ordre des Arts et des Lettres , Republic of France in 2010, and the Federal Prize for Art Spaces, Federal Office of Culture , Bern in 2009 and in 2007 the Swiss Art Award: Federal Prize for Art and Art Education, Federal Office for Culture, Bern.
  • 2009 Madeleine Hirsiger : From 1979 to 1984 she was the first woman from SF DRS in the Bundeshaus. For the news, she wrote stories about movies, the Solothurn Film Festival , the Festival Locarno , Cannes and Venice. In 1986 she was appointed head of the cinema editorial team at the suggestion of Alex Bänninger, Head of Culture and Society at German-speaking Swiss Television. From 2004 she was responsible for the editing of feature films, television films and documentaries of the Pacte de l'audiovisuel.
  • 2014 Margrit Bürer : The Head of the Office for Culture brought the diversity of cultural creation to the surface in the small town of Appenzell Ausserrhoden . In 2008 she took over the development of the newly established Office for Culture. In doing so, she launched the culture magazine “Obacht Kultur”. Bürer has also been closely involved with the Kulturlandgemeinde over the past few years. When they arrived, the annual event already existed as a “small cultural community” that had been set up by Karin Bucher and Peter Surber. “I thought the format should be given more weight,” says Bürer. Therefore, she suggested to the government council to officially support the event as part of the government program.
  • 2018 Barbara Zürcher : In 2017 Barbara Zürcher celebrated her 10th anniversary as curator for the House of Art in Altdorf, the capital of Uri . In 2007 she took over the office from her predecessor Peter Stohler , who moved to the Basel-Stadt Culture Department as a representative for cultural projects. Two years after starting work, the Haus für Kunst was expanded by an extension: in 2009 the Danioth Pavilion was added, in which primarily works by the Uri artist Heinrich Danioth are shown. In 2015 Zürcher received a scholarship from the Landis + Gyr Cultural Foundation and spent six months in London.
