Founding of UBS

In 1946 representatives from thirteen Bible Societies, including a representative from Switzerland, met to found the World Federation of Bible Societies. The Bible Society movement spread surprisingly quickly around the world. Around 150 members are currently involved in the implementation of the projects selected and supported by UBS. The activity is jointly funded and extends to over 200 countries. The Bible Societies work with all Christian churches and communities.
