Scott Davis (Manager)

D. Scott Davis (* 1952 in Medford , USA ) is an American manager, board member and was CEO of United Parcel Service (UPS) until August 30, 2014 .

Life

Davis holds a bachelor's degree in accounting from Portland State University and is a licensed accountant and auditor. After graduating from college in 1974, he took his first job at the accounting firm Arthur Andersen. A citizen of Medford, Oregon, he accepted a job with UPS in 1986 when it merged Oregon-based technology company II Morrow.

Davis served a full tenure as a board member of the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta through 2009. He is also a board member of Honeywell International and, since 2010, the President's Export Council, a committee serving as the state's chief adviser on international trade.
