Scott Heim (born 1966 in Hutchinson , Kansas ) is an American author .
Live and act
Scott Heim grew up in the country and studied English and art history at the University of Kansas . He later attended Columbia University in New York, where he also began work on his first novel. Heim now lives in Massachusetts . His first novel Mysterious Skin was published in the United States in 1995 and filmed in 2004 under the title Mysterious Skin . The German translation was published under the title Mysterious Skin - Invisible Scars 2006 by Bruno Gmünder Verlag . His two other novels In Awe (1997) and We Disappear (2008) have not yet been translated into German.
In November 2008 he was voted one of the most influential people of the year by Out magazine .
