Scott Meyers

Scott Meyers (2013)

Scott Douglas Meyers (born April 9, 1959 ) is an American computer scientist . He wrote several introductory works on the C ++ programming language and is a popular speaker at conferences and trade fairs. Meyers received an MS in Computer Science from Stanford University and a Ph.D. in the same subject from Brown University .

In March 2009 Meyers was awarded the Dr. Dobb's Journal Excellence in Programming Award.

At the end of December 2015, Meyers announced on his blog that he was withdrawing from C ++ development and knowledge transfer after more than 25 years.
