Scott Moninger

Scott Moninger (born October 20, 1966 in Atlanta ) is a former American cyclist .

Athletic career

Scott Moninger secured his first success in 1989 at the Redlands Bicycle Classics , which he was able to win again in 1995. In 1993 he won the Herald Sun Tour for the first time . In 1996 he won two stages there and won the overall standings. He then moved to Navigators , where he drove for two years before joining Mercury for four years . Since 2004 Moninger has been under contract with the American professional Continental Team Health Net-Maxxis . Most recently he won the International Tour de Toona and the Cascade Cycling Classic in 2005 . In 2006 he won the overall ranking of the Tour of Utah . After the 2007 season, Moninger ended his career.

In 2002 Moninger was banned for one year for doping .
