Scott Darwin Player (* 17th December 1969 in St. Augustine , Florida ) is a former American American football poker players. Player played as a punter in the National Football League (NFL) with the Arizona Cardinals .

Player career

Player played a year in the Canadian Football League with the Birmingham Barracudas after graduating from college . In 1996 and 1997 he tried in vain to gain a foothold in the NFL and was handed over by the Arizona Cardinals to the Frankfurt Galaxy , a team in the World League of American Football . In 1998 he returned to Arizona and was able to move into the play-offs with the team . The team lost there with 41:21 against the Minnesota Vikings . Player played for the Cardinals for nine years.

In 2007 he moved to the Cleveland Browns . In 2008 he was at the New England Patriots training camp . In 2009 he moved to the United Football League . In his NFL career he scored 727 punts with an average distance of 43.1 yards .

Honors

Player was elected to the Pro Bowl after the 2000 season .
