The Scudding Glacier is a rugged 5 km long glacier in East Antarctic Victoria Land . It flows from the southern flank of Mount Gunn in the Convoy Range into the head end of the Alatna Valley . The glacier is connected to the firn field of the Cambridge Glacier . It is particularly characterized by fierce (English: scudding ) and snowy katabatic winds .
Its name goes back to a team from the New Zealand Antarctic Research Program who worked in the area of the glacier between 1989 and 1990.
