The graveldiver ( Scytalina cerdale ) is a fish from the order of perch-like . It is the only species in the Scytalinidae family . Gravel divers live in the cold coastal waters of the eastern North Pacific on rocky bottoms and over sandy bottoms . The distribution area extends from the Bering Strait to central California .
