Sea of Treachery is an American deathcore / metalcore band that was formed in 2004.

history

Sea of Treachery was founded in 2004 under the name At Daggers Dawn in Hebron in the US state of Kentucky and, after numerous music changes, consists of singer Alex Huffman, the two guitarists Christian McManama and Aaron Hoover, bassist Tyler Monell and drummer Cody Patton.

The band released two EPs and one album each on their own under their original band name, Black Hearts and Burial Shrouds , All Hope Is Lost and The First Eulogy . The group changed their name to Sea of Treachery, moved to San Diego , California and signed a recording deal with Sumerian Records , which resulted in their debut album, At Daggers Dawn . However, the label dropped the group after a series of line-up changes and the resulting loss of trust in the band. Nevertheless, the musicians went to Lambesis Studios with producer Daniel Castleman and began recording their second album. In 2010 the band signed a contract with the BlkHeart Group.

style

The band works with different forms of extreme metal and combines elements of deathcore , metalcore and post-hardcore . The musicians later expanded their musical repertoire and developed the band's music further.
